We aim to assist clients toward stable and healthier lives, while providing services in a responsible manner which contribute to the psychological, social, financial, and spiritual well-being of our clients and the community which we serve.

Educate. Empower. Enrich.

What we do

An Nisa works to prevent and eliminate crisis within families by providing counseling, classes, and any other necessary resources. We currently serve over a thousand families in the Greater Houston area, including refugees, survivors of domestic abuse, families and individuals facing loss of jobs, etc.

Volunteer Based

An Nisa’s branches are ran solely by volunteers. Our professional and dedicated team work to prevent and eliminate crisis within families by providing services such as counseling, educational training/classes, short term financial assistance, and an array of services.

An Nisa is comprised of four different branches: Sakina Center (Mental Health), Speak Up (Outreach), Step Up (Education), and Communiteam (Short Term Assistance).

Over the years, An Nisa’s mission has changed from solely providing shelter and housing to providing counseling, education, short term financial assistance, and case management in order to strengthen families and allow them to become self sufficient.

What Drives Us to do More?

A part of human nature is to feel the need to ease the sufferings of a needy person. The act to benefit others without benefit to ourselves is what drives us to do more. Uplifting a family whether financially or emotionally and bringing happiness to them compels us to do more.
